The Competition Pro TL-2101 10" competition grade subwoofer comes mounted in a 0.75" thick vinyl covered MDF enclosure and delivers 1,000w max. (500 watt RMS) of power. Constructed with a tough heavy-duty single 4 ohm voice coil, it has been designed to reproduce punchy, sub-bass which is nothing short of accurate in definition. The TL-2101 subwoofer has a durable, precision-engineered, robust build that offers fantastic bass reproduction, and maintains clear bass reproduction at high power levels.
The TL-2101 is the 10" version of the 3,000w max. (1,000 watt RMS) 12" subwoofer, and offers the advantage of being able to be used with a variety of different amplifiers (the TL-1121 can only be used with monoblocks as it is dual voice coil), and comes in a much more compact and practical size of enclosure for users that are confined by space.
The amplifier recommended to power the TL-2101 is the TL-1023 3,000w Subwoofer amplifier - this will provide 500w RMS into 4 ohm. However, any amplifier can be used to power the TL-2101, as long as it has a low pass filter, and provides in the region of 250-500w RMS at 4 ohm. For example, the TL-2095 2000w 2-Channel Amplifier will give 500w RMS at 4 ohm when both channels are bridged, but does not have the specialist bass parameter settings that the TL-1023 has, because it is a full range amplifier with a low pass filter. The TL-2092 3000w 4-channel amplifier will give 450w RMS on two channels bridged, so would be ideal to power the TL-2101 and a pair of TL-1691 6"x9" speakers.

Because of the single 4 ohm voice coil, two of the TL-2101 can be wired in parallel to
provide 2 ohm load and handle up to 1,000w RMS in total, three can be wired in parallel to provide 1.3 ohm load and handle up to 1,500w RMS in total, and four can be wired up in parallel to provide 1 ohm load and handle up to 2,000w RMS in total.
